Limited Heroes is a private, hobbyist server for the City of Heroes game. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account credentials — username and a hashed password. Plain-text passwords are never stored.
• Email address — used only to confirm your account at signup and (optionally) to recover access if you forget your password.
• Game data — the characters you create on the server, their levels, and other in-game progress, as required for the game to function.
• Server logs — IP address, last-login timestamp, and basic request logs for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

Account data is used to authenticate you and to provide the game service. Email is used for account verification and recovery only — we do not send marketing email and we do not share your email with anyone.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We don't run advertising on this site.
• We don't track you across other sites.

Cookies

The portal uses a single login cookie (coh_portal) to keep you signed in. It contains a session token, not your password.

Data deletion

If you'd like your account and characters deleted, contact the server admins.
